Hike Bike Kayak Sports

This is our most popular kayak tour. If you can ride a bike you can kayak. After a brief paddle instruction and safety talk, we bring your kayak down to the beach. We launch our kayaks from La Jolla Shores and paddle to the La Jolla Sea Caves taking in the gorgeous views and watching for the abundant wildlife. We always see numerous types of sea birds and usually sea lions, seals and sometimes dolphins. We then kayak into the fascinating kelp beds of the La Jolla Ecological Reserve and enjoy the surf zone on our way back. Kayaking is fun for all ages! No experience necessary.

What is Provided: Kayaks, paddle, life jacket, and guide. Wet suit rentals are offered during fall, winter and spring.
Duration: Approximately 1.5 to 2 hours

Summer Schedule (Memorial Day through Labor Day): Tours are scheduled every hour
Fall - Winter - Spring Schedule (Labor Day through Memorial Day): 3 tours daily as requested

Our Most Popular Biking Tour in San Diego

Start with the stunning 360° views from Mt. Soledad. After we soak in the sights, we zoom down the 3.5 mile decent to the ocean. Then we bicycle around some of San Diego's MOST prestigious and quaint neighbors, including La Jolla, Pacific Beach, and Mission Beach. On the return, we usually take in the fun at La Jolla's own seal rookery (the Children's Pool.)

What is Provided: Multi-speed hybrid-type bicycle, helmet, water, snacks and guide.
Tours Held Daily - (Minimum two people) 8:30am, 10:30am, & 1:30pm
Tour is about 2-2.5 hours long.

Our surfing lessons for beginners start in the sand with instruction on paddling, how to 'pop-up' on your board, stance and balance. Your instructor will cover ocean safety, picking waves and, of course, surfing etiquette. With your instructor's hands-on help, you practice catching waves and standing up on your board. You'll be shredding in no time!

What is provided: Wetsuit, surfboard rental and instruction are included (tips are not included and are discretionary).
Duration: 1.5 Hours
Lesson times: 9am, 11:30am and 2pm
Special Instructions: You MUST be at our La Jolla Shores shop 45 minutes prior to the start time of your lesson. We transport you in our passenger van up to Encinitas.
